Daniel Wisser – born 1971 in Klagenfurt, lives in Vienna. Since 1990, he has written prose, poetry and radio-phone works and works as editor and publisher of contemporary literature. His debut novel “Dopplergasse acht” (Doppler Lane Number Eight) was published in 2003. Daniel Wisser received the Austrian State Scholarship for Literature in 2007. In 2011 the novel “Standby” was published. For his next novel “Ein weißer Elefant” (A White Elephant, 2013), Wisser was (among other prizes) awarded the Elias Canetti Scholarship of the City of Vienna, which he has since then been awarded three times. A collection of short prose titled “Kein Wort für Blau” (No Word for Blue) was published in 2016. In 2017 Wisser changed the publishing company, and published his novel “Löwen in der Einöde” (“Lions on the Plane”).
