It was a great pleasure that the festival focused on short story because nowadays the European publishing houses are convinced that readers are only interested in novels. In modern Central European literature short story traditionally plays an important role and it keeps being an important literary genre. It is also because of its conciseness and great variety of tonalities. I really loved the creative and witty structure of the stage and its decoration which had a symbolic meaning. I am deeply convinced that literature and translation are able to break not only symbolic fences but also real ones.
